Prepare for the STAIR!

A few comments on the Stair project.

Layering in PowerPoint.  I am using photos and clip-art in my presentation.  I am layering things in each slide so that they appear at the appropriate time.  I wish that their was a better way to switch between the layers.  I often have to move  the front graphic aside to reach the back layer.

Mouse overs- I am liking this feature!  If a student puts their mouse over a picture it can show them the word or vice versa.  It is a great way to have ”hints” available for students without a click!  Very cool!

Sounds in PowerPoint- after collaborating with the marvelous minds in CEP 811, I got the idea to use my microphone to record my students’ voices to use in my PowerPoint.  I think that they will get a kick out of hearing their own voice during the PowerPoint.  I am a newbie when it comes to using a microphone, so it will be a learn as I go experience!

I really liked the way this webquest breaks up the steps into step 1,2,3,4, etc.  I feel that it makes the lesson easier to plan and helps me visualize the steps.  Also, the pictures help the teacher and the students understand what they need to accomplish.  Visual learners will have an easier time too!  I need to remember to consider different learning styles when creating my webquest!

Hello everyone!  I am excited for spring break.  I was sick this past week with a bad case of bronchitis - didn’t miss a day of school though - ugh!  So I am ready to relax!

Hello world!
